What you will actually do

Trainers teach AI models law and medicine by showing them, task by task, what a correct answer and a sound explanation look like. These are the kinds of tasks you will work on.

Task type 01

Check an answer for correctness

Someone asked the model a practical question and it answered with confidence. You work the problem yourself, decide whether the answer is right, and flag each error with the fact it ignored.

  • Work the answer through, do not just read it
  • Check units, thresholds, dates and jurisdiction as well as the logic
  • Rate the response against the project rubric
dosing.review · model response
“My son weighs 20 kg. What single dose of oral paracetamol (acetaminophen) can I give him for a fever?”
Usual dose 15 mg/kg
Weight 20 kg
Single dose 15 x 20 = 3,000 mg
# Reviewer: arithmetic slip. 15 x 20 = 300 mg.
# 3,000 mg is a tenfold overdose for a child,
# stated with no warning. A critical failure.
compare.task · US contract law
“My neighbour and I shook hands on a deal for me to buy her house for $400,000. Nothing is in writing. Can I hold her to it?”
RESPONSE A
Probably not on its own. Contracts for the sale
of land fall under the statute of frauds, so they
need a writing signed by the seller.
# Some states recognise part performance, e.g.
# paying and moving in. Speak to a local lawyer.
RESPONSE B
Yes. An oral contract is as binding as a written
one if there was offer, acceptance and
consideration, and all three are present here.
Task type 02

Compare and rank responses

The model gives two or more answers to the same question. You rank them and explain the ranking precisely enough that the model can learn from it.

Here, Response B states the general rule for forming a contract but misses the statute of frauds, which requires a signed writing for the sale of an interest in land. Acting on B could cost the user the purchase. A good rationale says exactly that.

Task type 03

Write the ideal response

When no response is good enough, you write the one the model should have produced: the correct answer, the reasoning behind it and an explanation pitched at the person who asked.

  • Follow the project's style and length guidelines
  • Explain the reasoning, not only the conclusion
  • Say what the person should do next, and when to get professional help
ideal_response · drug interaction
“I take warfarin. My dentist just prescribed metronidazole for an infection. Is that OK?”
Why it matters
Metronidazole slows how your body clears
warfarin, so your INR can rise sharply and
raise your risk of bleeding.

What to do
Tell the dentist and whoever manages your
warfarin before you start. They may choose
another antibiotic or check your INR within
days. Do not stop or change warfarin yourself.
# Get urgent help for any unusual bleeding.
authority_review · case citation
“Find me a case holding an employer vicariously liable for an employee's road-rage assault during a delivery run.”
See Calloway v. Brightwater Logistics, where
the court held the employer liable because the
assault arose directly from the delivery.
# Reviewer: no case of this name exists. The model
# invented the authority and its holding. Pull the
# opinion before relying on any citation.
Task type 04

Catch invented authority and outdated guidance

Models quote cases, statutes and clinical guidelines fluently, and sometimes get them wrong or make them up. Trainers spot the invented citation, the superseded guideline and the source that does not say what the model claims.

Projects also ask you to judge when a model should decline a request, such as help forging a prescription or backdating a contract, and whether its answer stays helpful while doing so.

Day to day

How the work is organised

Projects

You are assigned to projects that match your expertise, from litigation and contracts to clinical medicine, nursing and pharmacology. Each has its own guidelines, examples of good work and an hourly rate of at least $45.

Hours

Work whenever tasks are available and it suits you. Your approved hours appear in your earnings with the project, date and rate.

Quality

Work is spot-checked against the project guidelines. Consistent, careful work leads to more projects and higher-rate projects.

Setup

A laptop or desktop, a modern browser, a reliable connection and access to the legal or clinical reference sources you would normally use.

Confidentiality

Project material and model outputs are confidential. You agree not to share them outside the platform, and never to use real client or patient information in a task.

Support

Questions about a task or your account go to our support team through messages in your dashboard, and the whole conversation stays in one place.
